    TRANSPARENCY

    Financial Disclosure

Clear, transparent disclosure of financial participation in Unity For Veterans.

    Important Notice

No payment processing is currently active. All financial participation details will be fully disclosed before any payment is accepted. The following outlines our commitment to transparency and the framework that will govern financial participation.

    Our Financial Transparency Commitment

Unity For Veterans is committed to complete transparency regarding all financial aspects of the Red Carpet Gala. Before any payment is processed, recipients will clearly understand what they are paying, to whom, for what purpose, and what (if anything) they receive in return.

    Payment Categories

Each type of financial participation will be clearly categorized:

    1. Charitable Donations

Direct contributions to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations where no goods or services of substantial value are received in return. May be tax-deductible depending on donor circumstances. Recipient organization(s) will be clearly identified before donation is accepted.

    2. Qualified Acknowledgments

Sponsorships where recognition benefits (logo placement, naming rights, etc.) are provided. The fair market value of recognition benefits will be disclosed. Only amounts above FMV may qualify as charitable contributions.

    3. Commercial Advertising / Purchases

Payments for goods or services where the primary benefit is commercial (advertising, media placements, etc.). Generally not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Will be clearly labeled as purchases/advertising.

    4. Gala Tickets

Payment for attendance at the event including dining, entertainment, and other experiential elements. Fair market value of goods/services received will be disclosed. Only amounts above FMV may be deductible.

    5. Auction Bids

Bids in the silent auction. Fair market value of items will be disclosed. Amounts paid above FMV may qualify as charitable deductions. Auction rules, payment terms, and pickup requirements will be specified.

    6. In-Kind Contributions

Non-cash donations of goods or services. Valuation methodology and documentation requirements will be provided. Tax treatment depends on donor circumstances and item valuation.

    Required Disclosures Before Payment

Before any payment is processed, Unity For Veterans commits to disclosing:

    • Legal recipient entity name and tax status
    • Purpose of the specific payment being requested
    • Category classification (donation, purchase, ticket, etc.)
    • Fair market value of any goods/services received
    • Expected tax treatment (with disclaimer to consult tax advisor)
    • Refund/cancellation policy
    • Contact information for questions

    Separation of Funds and Purposes

Unity For Veterans maintains clear separation between:

    • Gala campaign fundraising (for event production and veteran impact)
    • Veterans6 Foundation's separate organizational activities
    • MACV's existing programs and operations
    • Any commercial services (marketing, advertising, consulting)

Each payment CTA will identify which purpose it serves. Donors will always know exactly where their money goes.

    What Is NOT a Donation

The following will NEVER be represented as charitable donations:

    • Commercial advertising placements
    • Magazine or media feature purchases
    • Marketing or PR agency services
    • Consulting fees
    • Payments where substantial goods/services are received

    Impact Reporting

Following the event, Unity For Veterans commits to publishing a transparent impact report including:

    • Total funds raised by category
    • Net proceeds after expenses
    • Distribution of funds to recipient organizations/purposes
    • Measurable outcomes achieved
    • Veterans served (with appropriate privacy protections)

Impact reporting begins after program deployment and campaign activation. No fabricated statistics or unverified claims will be published.

    No Payment Until Approved

This is critical: No payment button, invoice, or payment request will be active until:

    1. Legal recipient entity(ies) are confirmed
    2. All required disclosures are drafted and approved
    3. Refund policies are established
    4. Payment processor is configured securely
    5. Financial controls are in place
